What are peptides used for in research?
Synthetic peptides are used in cell biology and biochemistry research to study signalling pathways, receptor interactions, enzyme activity, and metabolic regulation. All compounds supplied by R&D Peptides are intended exclusively for in vitro laboratory use.
Are your peptides suitable for human use?
No. All products are research compounds intended solely for in vitro use in laboratory settings. They are not supplied for, nor intended for, human or veterinary administration.
What formats are products supplied in?
All compounds are supplied in pre-filled, multi-dose research pens, ready to use with no reconstitution required. Combination pens carry pre-measured quantities of two or more complementary peptides in a single unit.
Where do you ship to?
We currently ship within the United Kingdom only. Every order is sent on a tracked 24-hour delivery service as standard.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Up to 3 working days in total. We process and dispatch your order within 48 hours (2 working days, Monday to Friday), and every order then travels on a tracked 24-hour delivery service. You will receive a tracking link by email as soon as it is dispatched.
How is temperature-sensitive stock handled during shipping?
Every order is cold-chain shipped, packed with ice packs and insulated packaging to maintain compound integrity in transit. Refrigerate your pen on arrival.
How is purity verified?
Each batch undergoes HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) and mass spectrometry analysis to confirm identity and purity. Independent third-party testing is conducted to provide an unbiased quality assessment.
Can I access Certificates of Analysis?
Yes. Certificates of Analysis (CoA) are available for all products. Please contact us to request the CoA for a specific batch.
What are the recommended storage conditions?
Store pens refrigerated at 2–8°C, away from direct light. Do not freeze a pre-filled pen: the compound is already in solution, and freezing can compromise it. Keep the cap on between uses.
What is the shelf life of your products?
Our research pens have a shelf life of 3 months when stored refrigerated at 2–8°C as described above.
Are your products legal to purchase in the UK?
Yes. The peptides we supply are not controlled substances under UK law and are legal to purchase for legitimate research purposes. By purchasing, you confirm the compounds will be used solely for in vitro laboratory research.
Who can purchase from R&D Peptides?
Our products are sold to researchers, scientists, and institutions for laboratory use only. Purchasers must be aged 18 or over and agree to our terms of use, which explicitly prohibit human or veterinary administration.
